Welcome to My View From the Nest

Welcome, friends! You’ve landed on my very first blog post, and I’m so glad you’re here. I thought the best way to start would be by introducing myself—because chances are, we might have a few things in common.

I’m 56 years old, happily married, and the proud mom of a 27-year-old daughter and a 24-year-old son. Our household also includes one dog and one cat, who keep things interesting. I work full-time as engineer and live in a suburban neighborhood of a midsize Southern city. (I’ve never blogged or designed a website, so please bear with me as I start this adventure.😊)

In my downtime, I enjoy crochet, cozy mysteries, mahjong, dancing, and a really good cocktail. I love live music, great food, traveling, and watching sports. All in all, I’d say I’m pretty “basic”—and I’m perfectly okay with that.

Like many of us, I enjoy reading about things and watching reels that inspire me to do more—cooking, organizing, focusing on well-being and fitness, decorating my home, crafting, and more. Do I always follow through? That part is… still a work in progress.
